Village Lutheran Church Preschool is a Christian preschool with emphasis on social interaction, and physical, emotional, and intellectual development.

GOALS
We strive for the development of skills that include listening, following directions, and problem solving. The children learn to integrate into a group setting and, also, work independently. "Free Choice" is a time children can choose an activity and work to accomplish a goal. By often taking care of their own needs, they develop a positive self-image. 

Many activities center on fine and gross motor. Language is advanced through multiple forms of self-expression. All classes have opportunities to discover, explore, and be challenged through open-ended activities. There are self-directed choices such as sorting, classifying, patterning, telling stories, and generally, learning by "doing". During JESUS TIME the children are taught to better understand God's Word and His world through songs and stories. 

We seek to give a loving environment where the children can have fun!

THE SCHOOL
The school has three classrooms for the different ages. There is a sizable indoor activity room and an art room. There is a well-equipped and fenced playground with a winding bike path. 

THE SCHOOL YEAR
The school year is from September to May. The morning begins at 9:00 and ends at 11:45. Extended Day dismisses at 2:30.

CLASSES
Classes are offered for three, four, and five-year-old children. Parents of a three year old child or a child who is two years by September 1st have the option of choosing a three or four day program. Parents of four year old children may choose four or five days for their child to attend. Five year old children attend five days.

Extended Days are offered on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Parents may register for one, two, or three days.

THE STAFF
The staff has been carefully chosen. Qualified and experienced teachers furnish individual attention to meet the needs of the young child in a loving, skillful way. The preschool is under the auspices of the Board of Education of Village Lutheran Church.

ENROLLMENT POLICIES
The Application Form is returned with a $25.00 fee. Church members will be accepted before December 1st of the previous year. Siblings will be given priority consideration if they apply before December 15th of the previous year. All other applicants will be notified in January. These enrollees will be accepted on a "first come, first serve" basis. Request for days attending will be determined by early application. A non-refundable down payment will be due in January. Health Forms are due October 1st of the school year.
